Earlier today, the official Samsung Mobile Twitter account teased at an upcoming collaboration with the legendary haute couture house of Maison Margiela. This could mean that a special edition line featuring a high fashion smartphone and accessories is in the works.
The tweet included an image featuring adjacent logos from each respective brand, as well as the iconic 23 number code from Maison Margiela. The code is used to identify what subcategory any given Margiela item or garment belongs to. The number 11 was circled in this instance, representing the accessory division of the brand. While what accessories exactly are set to release have not been announced, Samsung smartphones, smartwatches, or earphones may be included in the collaboration.
Samsung fans have identified the outline within the tweeted image as a piece of the internals of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, one of Samsung’s latest innovations. This would make sense as the newest promotion by Samsung, following their collaboration with Thom Browne last year, which promoted their then newly released Galaxy Z Flip 3. That collaboration also featured limited edition accessories sporting Thom Browne’s signature stripes.

More recently, Samsung teamed up with designer Charles Jeffery’s line titled LOVERBOY. While the collaboration which took place this past March did not yield any physical products, a series of short films which featured looks from Jeffery’s collection shot on Samsung products were released for fans to enjoy.
